The January 2025 LA fires were a wakeup call. A changing climate means we must adapt how we live with growing fire risks. These webinars will feature leading experts discussing the best available science, and how we might translate this knowledge into action to make our communities more resilient.

This webinar is the first in a series titled, Living with Future Fire: Getting to Research-Informed Policymaking for Fire-Resilience, that unpacks the complicated natural and institutional dynamics at play as we work toward a more fire resilient Southern California.

The SLAGC team is proud to have been a part of this effort, which:

- brought together 40 leading scholars from UCLA and beyond, led by LCI Director @mullinmeg.bsky.social, and

- spearheaded a robust community engagement effort with more than 100 fire survivors and dozens of other stakeholders.
