So #motosky, what did I end up doing?
2025 F800GS (six months old) with 7.6k on the odo, fully loaded, that's currently en route to Ireland with an ETA of November 6, just in time for a birthday ride, for half the price of what I'd have paid for the new one locally.

Another box checked. IBT done, I am now road legal. Despite being shit going 5kmh around cones in a car park, instructor was “shocked” at how good I was on the road. Happy days, on we go. #motosky

I have the same model doggo, I think there’s a recall out for them. (My version will not under any circumstances go near the sofa, but the bed is 100% her domain, we are mere interlopers…)
