She did a signing at the Barnes & Noble I worked at in 1999 for her book "From Girls to Grrrlz: a History of Women's Comics from Teens to Zines"--it took me a distressingly long time to find my copy after reading this news, though less to find my copy of her adaptation of "Silver Metal Lover."
