Right? I mean he owed nothing to a bunch of high school kids in Seattle. He was just so excited because it was one of his favorite shows that he wanted to share with them

We also asked him permission to use the Pina colada song during a different show as a result of this conversation. He was lovely and so gracious to a group of theater nerd teenagers.

My brush with Rupert: my kid did theater and I helped with a production of Edwin drood. Rupert had a Google alert setup about this show and called in to talk to the theater kids for over an hour. Everyone who wanted to ask a question about the show got to talk to him directly.
