Ezra Klein's entire "abundance" shtick is just reheated early 2000s vibes-based deregulatory corporatism

its primary function is to preempt good faith progressive reform as THE answer to authoritarianism

because the extraction class don't want corporate accountability or to pay taxes

Do these people seriously think their propaganda skills can wrangle Trump out of the damage wrought by the Epstein files?

They'll try to cover it up.
But, they are so greedy and inept, that 1 of 3 things will happen.

1. The coverup will be weak & data revealed w/little effort
2. Greedy insiders will leak info in dribbles for $$. Causing angry backlash
3. Vance/co will try to make their move on Trump, revealing data

Bessent again. He’s the next most powerful after Miller.

bsky.app/profile/bren...
Bessent has carved out a
fiefdom in the regime. Our demented, decrepit dictator does none of the talking here as Bessent justifies the doubling of his wager from $20 to $40 billion.

His rationale for currency speculation is unvarnished imperialism:…\1

Bessent says bailout for Argentina will double to boost U.S. influence in region
The Trump administration is working to arrange private sector financing for Argentina that would double the total U.S. financial lifeline for the embattled Latin nation.

This feels more like an attempt to keep prices artificially inflated. They don't give a sh*t about consumers, they care about profit margins & not losing them

It's a good excuse, better than high gas prices 2 decades ago, or the pandemic supply chain bender, ensuing shrinkflation. It's greedflation

It is. That's why he was selected both times.
He was a safe bet, and unfortunately too *connected* to do the job.

On the federal level, AG is a job for *protectors* of the status quo, not so much for a courageous prosecutor.

Garland was not looking to charge anyone in the files, including Trump.

It would have started an avalanche of inquiries and would draw attention and harm to him, w/people he knew and associated with.

Garland was careful in his indictments & his approach. That's why nothing happened on his watch.
