My work with the deities almost always produces something tangible, physical, material. With these two, often intertwined feminine deities, the result was an oil lead and blessed by each.

Definitely inspired by the deity/spirit of the same name, in Mriounuria, they are a whole species.

• commonly petitioned by Travellers of all kinds
• symbol/trademark is a jawless skull in the center of a blooming red rose on an equal-armed cross

The colors were interesting. And it continues to fascinate me how they often take forms that we most recognize.

She represents that sometimes the truth isn’t all that pleasant, and that there are very hard truths that may feel painful and make us want to avoid it all together. Brutal honesty. Raw realness. And it’s only going to keep getting brighter unless you face it.
