Read through The Legend of Sleepy Hollow again after many years. I'm using the premise of the story and altering the setting for a text based DND game for my friends. Should be a fun writing exercise, especially when writing about Irish history.

Archery class went well today. The biggest struggle is when you let mistakes get in your head and frustration sets in. I'm hoping my student can work through it before competition in a couple weeks.

Just got my first copy of Howl's Moving Castle and I've never cherished a book this much in my entire life. I have the most amazing friends.

I'm so glad that I'm able to do a book club with my friends. So many good reads this year.

I just finished The Lost Apothecary. I am left utterly speechless. It was phenomenal.

I've been reading some new books lately that have focused on the fact that having a child makes you worthy.

I think there's more to a woman than just the ability to have a child. But this topic has been highly debated due to our political environment. I'm not sure how to feel about these stories.

I hope everyone had a great holiday. :)

I finally figured out a conundrum regarding a plot hole in a character's backstory. Now I feel I can move forward!

Yay progress!

One of my favorite streamers just did a cat charity the other day.

Anyone have any recommendations for books with cats in various modes of importance in them?

The latest one I read was The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher. Still making my way through The Olympian Affair, the sequel.

I'm on the side of social media where I'm entranced watching bread rise in the oven. It's so satisfying!

When you develop characters, do you start with appearance or characteristics?

With my latest character, I started with a plot I wanted them to go through.

I've always wondered how fantasy authors chose to portray archery. Like what's too complicated for the average reader and when does it come close to inaccuracy? I've been coaching for 15 years and could tell readers waaaay too much about the sport to where it may sound like a technical manual.

I have a cool idea for a book in a fantasy setting, but my co writer wants a backstory involving a character traveling to a different realm while they sleep. I'm not sure how to incorporate it without it sounding like Star Trek mixed with Dnd.

Hi everyone! My name is Tyrelle and I'm an author. I'm hoping to get my first work published at some point.

I enjoy video games, DND, Nature, history, culture and developing recreational programming.

Nice to meet all of you! (And yes, that's me and my husband. We coach archery classes. 😁)
