Violence, abuse, and abandonment because of something beyond his control turns a young man into a hollow shell of what he wants to be. Cold, alone, and empty, he lashes out at a world that refuses him even the ghost of kindness and yet even still, he finds space in his heart to care far too much. In a world that insists on only seeing him as an object, he chooses to objectify himself as if that grants him some semblance of control. The realization that it doesn't is a slow one and, worse yet, he needs to discover who he is beneath it. Violence is the only answer the world has listened to and yet it's the only one he cannot give. It boils under his skin until he snaps and impulse leads to broken bones and scars on enemies and lovers both. How could he possibly be worth anything more than his own grave dirt? Everyone who has ever doubted him is now dead and gone. Too bad they were family he loved and were torn from his hands. Who is he now with the shackles of expectation gone? Who is he now without everyone who has ever cared for him? How does he go on when the weight of what he should have done threatens to crush him?
