Audible still telling me it comes out tomorrow. I've also heard rumors that some book stores just have it on the shelves already.

Honestly looks amazing for a first draft! If we only had a little more control over ambient lighting it wouldn't need too much more.

thank you to everyone who properly tags their spoilers, which I never see, but I know are out there. Also alt text is amazing for functioning alongside muted words.

world of warcraft community IS the worst about spoilers you cannot convince me otherwise

Definitely the Paladin class hall tome with the beam of light above it, gonna get so much usage out of it as light shafts.

Eg., Harbingers/Xera cinematic both imply having eyes burned out when you know lore, but by themselves don't actually say "all dh have empty eye sockets". This is founded on painful rules-lawyering i dont agree with, but IMO the writers prob think the Adarus quests did all the needed legwork.

oh ive been crashing out over this, i personally very much see ALL media as contributing to real "canon", but I can see a throughline of logic about about what to actually expect to see in-game. Mardum gave the vibes of book DH without ever breaking the esrb rating, it's frustratingly impressive

its kind of impressive honestly, a solely in-game read of DH functions totally different from lore DH. The closest you get is Maiev referencing "the demon blood inside you", and "Inner Demons" are only mentioned by 1 Havoc talent and the Vengeance spec description.

the game glosses over absorbing demonic essence to gain abilities(iirc souls aren't mentioned), but demon-heart eating/eye-gouging isn't in-game. even the arcane tattoos are there to counter generic "fel energies", not to suppress a consumed demon. (So Devourer should have Light tats? /s)

they can't, because they never established much for regular DH in-game. Anything they did for velf/devourer would be out of line with what they presented for regular DH. they left a lot up for interpretation in-game, its the other side of the "don't need books to understand game story" coin

they probably would've had an angle to see right into the Argussy

This is the baseline to judge the implementation of hearthsteel on and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. $5.00 USD for 1 (one) Christmas tree.

Legion warship interior walls/floors/ceiling 😈

Also waterfall partitions, just a wall of flowing water.

They SAY they want it to be easy to identify the real cost of items on sight, but they also weren't willing to commit to saying $1=100 hearthsteel in this article... My copium is that they knew there would be backlash, and they're using it to convince their overlords to do something less egregious.

I'm sorry for all the Void lovers out there but there's other color palettes in this setting!!! No more purple!!! Unless it's arcane hehe
