Same can be said for the EU. They have been talking about a digital Euro for years and latest news it that there will be a pilot in 2027 and a full launch in 2029. There are, however ready available payment system like Blik, Wero, Bizum, that just need wider adoption on European level.

The The European Central Bank is doing the same. Many countries in the EU already have payment systems that do not involve Visa or Mastercard but we need more coordination.

And the @ec.europa.eu should immediately end its deeply misguided negotiations to give US authorities access to European data bases, incl DNA. All data transfers must be suspended. We can no longer trust the US not to abuse our data for political purposes.

To put Spain in the same basket with Hungary, Slovakia and Malta is offensive. This is something that has been orchestrated by the conservative PP and ultraconservative Vox in order to put pressure on Sanchez. Despicable that the @eppgroup.bsky.social has agreed to it.
