Today, every chapter was fine with some areas I actively loved. You guys, they're objectively not that different in terms of writing and where they're at in need of revisions or no. Some days you really do just need a nap.

I loved Starling House so much I’ve been eyeing this and now I think we are moving it closer to the top of the list. I am here for all of this.

It’s a shame because there are articles and analysis on the web that is out of reach to anyone who doesn’t have the cash to spend on a subscription. It would be nice if there were a moving wall on database access, even a pay per view article would be better than current invisibility w/o subscription

I think about this a lot as I also help students with historical periodicals. Our students in our world wars class looking for coverage of the 1920s in the Atlantic Monthly will find all coverage sitting on our shelves. In a hundred years their fellow students will not have the same access.

We spend far too long searching our databases that have the coverage for the years we supposedly are looking for and eventually I decide it’s one of these supplemental blog articles. The @theatlantic.com is one of the worst offenders.

When we know that social media is creating an echo chamber for anyone who is not intentionally seeking information outside of their bubble this feels more important than ever. I keep thinking “there’s no way X Person approves of this”, but I’m not even certain X Person knows it’s happening.

I was gonna say this has to be Branson. When I was there this summer rhe Trump store was a stones throw from an “Everything Jesus: Shirts, Hats, and Stickers” store.
