I don't understand their obsession with this when they're literally making it difficult for those who want to have kids to have them. People need healthcare, living wages, adequate housing and resources to successfully raise kids. They can't have it both ways.

I'm trying! The job market is shit because everyone is competing for the same wfh roles. Companies have all the power right now. It sucks!

Not to mention the subways are a fucking nightmare. I swear if I get murdered by some crazy person on the subway because I had to go into the office I'm gonna be mad up in heaven.

In other news, I got dinged in an apt inspection for having an air conditioner in the window, regardless of having another window free for egress. My apt is so old, the windows aren't up to spec and are only 19" wide. The minimum to have an ac in the one window is 24" 😭

Yeah that's the part I really don't get. Instead of spending it on something useful they spend it on weird bullshit. I don't understand it.

Companies can choose where to spend their dollars and it doesn't only affect social media. Companies like Doubleverify and Integral Ad Science help advertisers actively block spend on any website that doesn't align with where the company thinks their advertising should be shown.
