No internet at the house last night (gasp!) so I couldn’t post a page for 30-days. Guess I’ll post two tonight. I tried 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re-starting* 30 days of comics late this year.
(*-I posted the wrong thing a second ago.)

Anyway, still shooting for one-a-day and still shooting for thirty.

Here’s page one: meet Nathan Parker Crumbwell.

I’m traveling today - and all this week - 30 days of comics will be spotty.
When I post them just pretend you’re reading on the day I drew it.

30-days-of-comics is coming up. Do I know what I’m going to draw? No, that’s not how this works (for me). But look for that coming in November.
You should do it too, it’s more fun when more people do it. We all need fun.

Disappointed this didn’t work.
John Darnielle, I will trade you one (1) copy of my latest self released comic, Today is never Right Now, for one (1) copy of your self-released bootleg, Come Come to the Sunset Tree.

You can occasionally find copies of ‘Come, Come…’ on the secondary market going for hundreds of dollars, but to my knowledge I have never been a tym godek comic offered in those channels at *any* price. Rare media indeed! 😂

Years after @nvonflue.bsky.social’s recommendation, years after checking the cd out from the library and dubbing it on cassette, after years of deeply internalizing the record, I’ve now legally purchased a copy of the Mountain Goats’ the Sunset Tree, and thus - at long last - closed the open circle.

Yeah! Promotion!
since it's the 2023 collection of @tymgodek.bsky.social's annually published 30 days diary comic, here come my 30 cents from that year's tcj best of

Domino books has always been fantastic! One of the undersung features of his site is the text that Austin attaches to every listing. More than marketing copy, it’s sometimes contextualization and oftentimes personal observations on the work. Love seeing it.

Did I tell you I have a new book out? Probably not, I am bad at promotion, but happy to have my latest printed comic available now at @dominocomics.bsky.social web shop.

This image confuses in a way so pleasantly (to me) that I wish it was not accidental slop.
Another reminder that graphics are decomposible… I assume this was created by AI because the top implies the girl walks forward but the legs and feet suggest waking away. Each part is well-formed but the whole is odd

What’s with this new (to me) concept of “too many nachos”?!?
September 22, 2025 at 10:17 PM
The world is shit but I’ve been keeping up with the dishes, and that has to count for something, right?

We got a puppy in January and I haven’t been able to listen to Lightning Bolt in the house since then because it drives her destructively crazy.

I just counted. 62 items in my “to read” pile. (Books I’ve bought or were gifted to me). More on the way too. Probably good that I ran out of money to spend.

Like, @neilcohn.bsky.social, there’s a lot of your name showing up here. And apparently this only allows a partial search of the database…
I have family members and friends whose work shows up here. I have a limited reach, but passing this along anyway.
Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

I ordered *some* stuff from that Taschen sale, and I was sober and could probably tell you exactly what I bought, but now I’m out of money anyway.

Thinking about this page in my copy of Alias the Cat and wondering “How could *I* do that?”

I got drunk last night and I didn’t buy anything but I’m starting to think I might still have a problem.

I got drunk last night and bought a bunch of stuff from that Domino Comics sale and now I don’t remember what all I bought. Hoping it’ll be a nice surprise for me later.
