Luka Doncic will miss at least 1 month per Shams Charania. The Mavericks have 17 games over that stretch, which means no All-NBA or MVP for Doncic this season.

The Heat say Jimmy Butler (ankle) is available to play tonight against Philadelphia.

Take of the day: Mavericks are fine, but need Luka Doncic to lock in and return to MVP form to be serious contenders. He was hurt in the preseason and is still shaking off the rust/playing his way into shape. Better days ahead for Dallas.
