It had to happen in his own back yard for him to care about any of it.

Absolutely agree that what these 2 are doing is reprehensible, but people want to participate in their grift. They want salacious details & soap opera drama, & don’t seem to care about the stakes. We have to take away the desire for this & incentives to prey on it but I don’t know how we do that.

Nice, I also accidentally bought the audiobook via a single click and it doesn’t look like you can return those so I hope that helps in some way

And other progressives on the ballot won handily. I don't get it. They're still counting votes but he's just increasing his lead.

Chuck has to remember the outrage from last time they did this, so it is super depressing to see no lessons were learned, or that he learned not to be bothered.

Never great to shut down the govt, but when it is this lawless and unaccountable I don’t see what difference it even makes.

This was striking to me:

several senior Trump officials practically hated the tech billionaire, finding him abrasive, unfunny, and pompous—with some describing Musk as the “most irritating person” they’d “ever had to deal with.”

Had they never seen Musk do anything in the last 4 years??

Dems are so lost right now that they value the dopamine hit of this “advice” over any understanding the only thing we have in common with these voices is disliking Trump. All they want is for us to be more like them (god forbid Rs ever moderate). These voices will not come save us at the ballot.

Absolutely this. Also, the damage is done and he’s infused his particular stink into the brand whether he is the chief executive or not. They are a symbol of Musk from Model 3 to Cybertruck. That will continue for years unless the company completely reinvents itself, which seems unlikely.
