This is a Queen of Malinalco tomatillo. They are a crazy crop. They grow in a husk like any other tomatillo. When fully ripe, they have a flavor like tart vanilla caramel mixed with pineapple. The latter part is challenging because the high sugar content makes them very attractive to fungus.
