If you look at the whole pc handheld market it's prob 20 mil over a console gen so it's still worth making a "box" for. I think handheld PCs are overrated, nobody wants to hold that thing for very long even if battery was good, get a kink in the neck and tired arms.

I think the only thing they are doing here is reducing the amount of time it takes to run three guys out onto a field to measure 10 yards. In exchange, they can afford to pay for the Sony camera system by showing you more ads.

This isn't a new theory but you're probably right that the "box" has every reason to go away or at least reduce. A subsidized device increases accessibility however and that value proposition will continue to sell units so some degree.

I haven't played destiny in years. I probably would have started again but it seems like all the content rotates out so the story I remember is just flat out missing.
