Obviously, we should keep pushing back against sports bans, but this is very much a niche issue compared to, for instance, access to transition care and the ability to socially transition, which are the core of what we call "trans rights." And which poll well in our favor!

Centrists will say, "We've lost the battle on trans rights!" and what they mean is "There is often majority support for trans sports bans." Most polling suggests a modest majority of Americans support other trans rights, which becomes a solid majority when you remove Republicans.

I haven’t posted here in ages (does anyone) but because I can’t do this on the main for Twitter, Neve Campbell and Kevin Williamson back for Scream 7 to downplay how much Barrera was wronged by Spyglass is one of the most cynical and disappointing culture developments in ages.

boxd.it/5dAylV Remember Rob Reiner? His Stephen King thriller is kind of the best Thanksgiving movie.

Extremely ready to see Priscilla today and return to Sofia Stan mode. Seeing the light with her was one of the few good things that happened to me in 2016-17.

I’ve read several reviews but I can’t tell if The Killer will benefit from me being extremely hung over or not. Guess I’ll find out in a bit!

Exorcist 2 is going to be my “the consensus is correct” movie for the fall, with apologies to Martin Scorsese and whoever else is a reclaimer. Call it “so weird!!!” all you want, but I can’t even really enjoy that about it because it’s also trying and failing to be a drama.

There should be a museum exhibit dedicated to the fried brain tweets that happen every time Scorsese breathes these days.

Absolutely freezing take, but The Exorcist is just kinda the greatest movie, huh

Folks have gotten weird about Jamie Lee Curtis in recent years but I have to admit her performance in The Bear is… a lot.

Good show though. (And you can’t erase Blue Steel!)

I wasn’t planning to post much here originally, but I don’t know. Big fan of all my followers so far and it seems like a low-discourse zone so far, so maybe I’ll slowly phase out of the bird app. TBD
