Probably not a good sign that UW has gotten absolutely manhandled in their two games against good teams this season (plus a double-digit loss to TCU). I liked the roster construction, but they are capable of playing some very bad basketball.

Luke Fickell has punted on 4th and inches, and chosen to run out the clock with 1:05 left and 2 TOs. He is truly the worst.

3-seed? Awesome. Denver? Brutal. Instead of playing in Milwaukee on Friday, they’ll play in altitude on Thursday. Really tough after 4 games in 4 days.

Badgers lost a double-bye, a shot at a 2-seed, and possibly a spot in Milwaukee by blowing home games in which they had a 99 percent win expectancy (Oregon) and a 97.7 win expectancy (PSU).

Three weeks ago, this Badgers team really felt different. All of a sudden, they look exactly like every team from the last 5 years. Good, but able to lose to any team in the country.

Badgers had a 99 percent win expectancy with 6:15 left (up 64-50). Finished the game with 2 points and 6 turnovers. Shocking to see from such a steady, veteran team.

Phil Longo sucked and needed to go, but this UW season will be defined by giving up 124 to USC, Iowa and Nebraska. And Tressel isn’t going anywhere.
