Yeah essentially the 2018 farm bill created a kind of loophole that people exploited. At the time it was seen as a sort of step toward decrim I think, but obviously they turned that the fuck back around. It's a federal law so it touches most businesses that aren't dispensaries

much impact on states where all weed has been legalized. But it means that transportation across state lines is impossible and the businesses opened are now basically illegal. It's gonna mess up a lot of people.

A lot of business that began 7 years ago are about to go out of business and a lot of people are about to go without their CBD oils and pain relief. It really sucks. I don't think this effects nonconsumables, just things you can absorb like drinks and balms and foods. And I don't think it has

I'm unclear as to the breadth of this but in 2018 the farm bill removed hemp from the controlled substance list as long as it was under a certain number. This allowed for hemp beer and other cbd products to proliferate. This new deal effectively puts it back on the list, from my understanding.
