Isn’t it clear by now? The US is going to let Xi take Taiwan as long as they are guaranteed access to TSMC chips… that’s why they’re letting NVIDIA back into the Chinese market.

They mean it’s expensive for the AI companies to generate the content. The companies are providing the service as a loss leader while they try and figure how to monetize the depraved tool.

Most of the ”federal “taxpayers” live in those states! Instead of being extorted with their own money, people should just stop paying their taxes at this point.

The problem is, how can the former allies of the U.S. ever trust that another psycho won’t be elected again 4 to 8 years after that? It would be madness to continue to trust on the U.S. When the dust settles at the end of this term, I fear the U.S. is going to find itself alone in a dangerous world.

I’m not minimizing anything. The debate question itself is ridiculous and abhorrent — and the people who believe it should be exposed for the fools they are. IMO that’s exactly what happened. But folks here are acting like it’s the NYT’s opinion, which it isn’t. Did anyone actually watch the video?

This is the way. I’d even take it a step further and ban these American platforms outright. We gave them the keys to our social life and are now paying the price. Cast these cursed companies into the void where they belong.

Indeed. But ppl are sharing it like it’s a NYT “article just asking questions.” It’s actually a podcast debate between two guests — the host is neutral. IMO the woman arguing in favor ends up looking foolish. Maybe criticize the unhinged take, not one of the last non-billionaire-owned news outlets.
