I’m confused, I kinda remember this piece and it’s predicated on the Autor data that made the below graph. That graph was largely correct? I guess I’m curious even if you think the merits are wrong what you think he’s being insincere in this piece about versus just annoying. That’s a huge difference

I don’t think Matt Yglesias “wants Democrats to be Republicans”, and I don’t think that’s the dictionary definition of bad faith. You can disagree with his points but he earnestly believes them. It’s a problem that a lot of progressives just want to hand wave a way a discussion of policy differences

Almost 20 years later and nothing hits like Baten Kaitos Origins — setting up/executing a combo like this. RNG anxiety, managing current HP, reflexes, finding the right moment to do it… criminal this game never did better (whole thing was way longer than 30s)
