I expect WA is also just a lot less flexible than GPT for tutoring applications. For example, let's say I want the AI Tutor feedback expressed at a reading level that a grade 3 student would understand. Or let's say the student wants it rephrased, or elaborated.

Can WA show steps for math problems expressed in natural language? I haven't tested it, but WA isn't exactly cost efficient for app developers -- looks like $0.1 per query to the Show Steps API. Compare that with $0.001 per 1k tokens using GPT3.5.
