Digital marketing pays the bills, screenwriting gets me out of bed. I write character-driven genre stories exploring how flawed people fight for their humanity inside broken systems. Saints fan, fantasy football enthusiast.
Some mornings it feels like there’s not enough coffee. Shoutout to everyone else up and doing the damn thing anyway.

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. Or so I tell myself as I pour more coffee. #5writersclub #Scriptsky

#Scriptsky always one of my favorite moments. Finally printing the damn thing to do line edits. (I always catch more typos/errors this way.)

Feeling it in my hands makes it feel more real. Solid. Inspires me for the last push!

Fun! #Scriptsky here’s my WIP Vampire feature.

Technically missed #5amwritersclub, but still managed to get some solid edits to my Vampire feature in before work.

Can’t overstate how invaluable good notes are. But I’ll always relate to a joke Ed Solomon made.

My reaction to notes is always the same.
First: Fuck you.
Then: Fuck me.

Some days, client legal review makes me feel absolutely insane. This is for my marketing job.

Originally copy: “doing so can make…”

Legal: “doing so can POTENTIALLY make…”

Me: Sobs existentially.

It will never cease to amaze me (derogatory) when people try to start complicated new projects on Friday afternoon… like what are doing?

Friday, finally! Let’s get after it, we have the momentum now. May the words come easily and the pages flow fast. #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

Forgot to post for #5amwritersclub but we were up and doing the damn thing! Making some edits on my Vampire feature. It just feels right to be in this headspace this time of year. #Scriptsky

If I were a billionaire, I’d create something like Fannie Mae for movies and shows. Not government owned, but an entity that would take on some of the risk to encourage studios to invest in first-time filmmakers and more diverse voices.

Alas, probably why I’ll never be a billionaire! #Scriptsky

This is when I have to fight the urge to push myself too hard because of the existential dread that the holidays mean 2026 is here.

I’m not where I want to be yet. But burnout and stress won’t help the pages. Besides, we all deserve to recharge. Consistency is my focus. #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

Moving slow today, so I missed #5amwritersclub. Sometimes Monday wins… But that’s okay. It doesn’t always win and my record on Tuesday is 🔥. #scriptsky

Saw #Bugonia. Performances were great and it really gave me a sense of deep existential dread. It was very well crafted, but I don’t think I’d want to see it again. Curious what others think. #Scriptsky

Friday! We made it!!! As always, special shoutout to my fellow screenwriters grinding a 9 - 5 (or longer hours) and still scratching and clawing to find time to write. To create. To dream.

And those doing it with KIDS??? Respect. #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

Something weird I try to remember when getting notes…

The Mona Lisa. Imagine her without that hint of a smile.

Think of all the artistry and work da Vinci put into every other aspect of the painting.

One detail can unlock a masterpiece. You might be closer than you think. #Scriptsky

I like a lot about writing.
Finding character voices.
Discovering the perfect plot escalation.

But polishing is the most enjoyable stage for me. Just tinkering with what I’ve already written… switching a verb only to eventually change it back…

That’s my happy place. #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

Something that’s easy to forget as a writer that studies history is that despite all the warnings in hindsight, conclusions aren’t foregone. Stories have fixed endings. History doesn’t. It can always go another way. Last night was a powerful reminder. I needed that. #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

Technically more like 6am than #5amwritersclub this morning, but the butt’s in the chair and we’re getting after it.

Sustained consistency over fast burning intensity.

#Scriptsky finished a new draft of my vampire feature over the weekend. I was always intimidated to write horror but I love vampires so I said fuck it. Glad I did. Really happy with this one.

Happy Friday! Shoutout to everyone up early getting after it today. Don’t know if anybody feels this, but being able to escape into the pages and actually control what happens feels very therapeutic right now.

At least until the character have their own ideas... #5amwritersclub #Scriptsky

#scriptsky thought it might be useful to share tips from #AFF panels I found insightful for those who couldn’t go.

If you’re looking for representation, a big theme was to network laterally. Forge real connections with fellow writers. Many reps find new clients based on recs from existing ones.

Do I feel inspired today? Not really.
Well-rested? No, I’m tired as hell.
Do I think this script is good? Not today.
But the butt is in the chair and we’re getting pages. In the end, that’s what matters. #5AMwritersclub #Scriptsky

What. A. Weekend. Cannot overstate how incredible #AFF was. But nothing says the magic’s over like the TSA line at the airport… #Scriptsky

An AI poem about love will suck even if the writing evolves because the machine has never been in love! Like how techbros not get this? They seem to get that nobody wants to watch robots play football… On some level art moves us because we feel solidarity with the creator who felt the same shit.

#Scriptsky finally made it into Austin for the #AFF! Tired, but excited. Can’t wait to meet some of the most awesome people on earth (writers, duh) and just soak up the weekend. If you see me please say hi!!
