I went and had a home-cooked vegan meal from a colleague, and then we volunteered at the food recovery center. Community service is keeping me sane along with my books, swimming and jogging, and my kittens.

I felt so betrayed last night.

I don't see codified salaries as a victory when it was already a law. It's like good, I am not going to steal you. Fool, you're not supposed to do that. I'm upset, but I'm aware of the financial privilege I have.

As a fed, "no more RIFs until Jan 30" is sadly the biggest guarantee I have heard in the last ~10 months. That's how traumatized Vought has made us. I have trust issues.

I dated Alex Crick while in graduate school (we are still friends today). He made my room-mates and me watch this NOVA piece. "See, this absolves my grandfather!" We felt, "No, it makes Watson look worse." I had joked that if ever we married and had a daughter, I'd name her Rosalind.
