When I blocked/muted on twitter I still saw topics I didn't wish to see, Bsky's block and mute works for me and they actually listens to reports if need be (and I have hardly did any reports here unlike twitter - which doesn't do a thing). Plus mostly those I follow left Twitter and came here too.

I saw it today too (14th June) on BBC Breakfast about 19m 40 secs in (on iplayer until 9am tomorrow)

I may never see or hear from that person again but my mind changing their horrid words/actions into 'oh they are ableist' has made those words said to me - less powerful. The words can still hurt but I can get myself out of negative thinking a bit more easier now when I blame them and not myself.

I'll be okay. I always have hope at least.

We need to stay safe due to a. 'danger to life' and b. don't cause the emergency services to be overworked. I hate the fact some non essential workplaces still want people to risk their lives to work tomorrow. I just hope everyone takes care and is safe.
