Imagine claiming that under the auspices of the DEI EO the removal of opportunities through the issuance of Pell Grants would free this country of “illegal and immoral discrimination programs” aka “shameful discrimination.”

If the DOE is eliminated—the federal agency that administers Pell Grants—the institution of higher ed where I work and teach will no longer be able to provide access to college degrees to the lower income students it serves, the majority of its student population
