I definitely wasted money on my masters. Not the graduate degree itself but the field.

With Trump revoking DEI and rapidly moving us toward completely revoking the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, it will be even harder to find a job.

I should've have known the career field wasn't going to be diverse by the make up of the demographics of the classroom. Diversity is what organizations say they want but don't actually pursue in its truest form.

It can be demoralizing seeing people you went to school with make it in their careers and you're still stuck holding on to the slimmest of hopes that one day you too will make it. It's hard keeping that dream alive.

Not finding a job in the career you studied for can be crushing. Constantly being asked when I'm going to leave my current position for my career field gets tiring. You really start to doubt if you've made the right decision or if the field isn't what it proclaims to be.

Hey museums, how about we stop claiming we care about communities and employees and collections but only hiring contractors. People need healthcare and benefits. I'm not doing this purely for the love of the collections.

Colleges and universities across the country have proven they're more interested in shareholders and capitalism than being places of academic freedom and expression. Also showing tuition is a scam since they don't want to be transparent in where they invest student funds.

Can professors stop specifying which font we're allowed to use on a paper? Unless it's something outrageous like Broadway or Comic Sans, let me use what I want. Are you gonna take off points for that? I'm ok with that.

This semester has been exhausting and overwhelming and not fun. I’m not sure I will ever purse the PhD. I value my mental health

I’ll be wrapping up museum studies masters program in the spring. I’m wondering if I should try to balance working in the field along side pursuing a PhD. Sometimes I feel like a career student.
