Migrated here from the other site. Mostly tweet at people, try to be positive. I enjoy puns, auto racing, national parks. Nothing much else to say
If everyone that held up signs acted even a fraction like Al Green did tonight, at least it wouldve felt like something other than a puppet show

OOF, but I totally get it

All jokes aside, this is actually a really cool thread. Recently watched Peter Brook's youtube video of a brief history of all F1 tracks and this feels like its from the same cloth. Really cool to see a bit of racing history on display in an unexpected place

I agree. Its one of those things where when I say Im a NASCAR fan or someone visits and sees all my diecasts on display I feel like I have to defend myself, "Oh dont worry Im not one of *those* fans". Its getting harder and harder for me to continue this when stuff like this constantly is on display

Run the course as it stands today and see if you can set a new track record

The Indy 500 has just been Charlie Kimball'd

X is indeed a joke

I loved that car and scheme. And I know that Terry was good friends with Billy Hagan which prompted the reunion with him, but man that team was definitely on its last legs at this point. Shows how great a driver Terry was to get that team to even those heights in the 90s

It took him a full year to get his feet under him in both trucks and Xfinity series in the best car in each field respectfully. Now we're getting people saying hes a good bet to make the playoffs in...Front Row? And yesterday Clint was slobbering on the camera as soon as he saw him in the top 10

Thinking about this because it just came up on my playlist randomly today and I do forget often how hard the song hits. And this is not coming from a huge Killers fan. This song and "Human" are the only songs of theirs I have on my playlists

The way I see it, Bubba always used to look at road courses like his dog ran away. Now, hey, front row start, stage win. Certainly couldve gone better but also couldve been a LOT worse. A lot to build on
March 3, 2025 at 1:32 AM
I got no problems with him. Never been someone I get excited about but anytime he wins Im like "Yeah ok, couldve been a lot worse than that"
March 3, 2025 at 1:27 AM
As someone who lived in Austin for a few years, doing this kind of stuff in a city like that further ostracizes NASCAR from its host city. People were excited for F1 but always felt NASCAR was 2nd class, and this is just going to further drive that impression

I also really liked their starting grid video. Felt F-1esque. Just wish they included a photo of the car
March 2, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Devastating. I know that its just the waiting that makes it excruciating, but the time WILL come. From there at least there will be some closure

2 drivers this year have top 10s in both races so far. Blaney is one of them. I can tell you who isnt the other - Corey LaJoie with an average finish of 30th, 4th lowest of all drivers have run both races
February 24, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Man, absolutely hoping for the best for you here. I hope this SOB absolutely gets the harshest sentence in all of this. I know a lot of folks are rooting for you here and I am among them
February 24, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Oh no, I totally forgot that they made that change. I was actually (somewhat) looking forward to the races next week and now I feel like I just ate a wet sandwich
February 24, 2025 at 4:58 AM
lol I wasnt even aware of any drama. I watched a superspeedway race, saw the shenanigans on how they always end play out again tonight, shrugged my shoulders and went on with my evening and felt everyone else just did the same
February 24, 2025 at 4:57 AM
Fair enough. I felt like in both cases it was a Hendrick car pushing an issue in the closing laps, forcing a car to get aero tight and into the wall. LaJoie definitely had more choices than Cindric did, but hardly fault LaJoie in that instance to throw everything he had
February 23, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Felt exactly like the Elliott-LaJoie incident a few years ago
February 23, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Definitely not over! If he finished 7th last week the way he did, no telling what happens this week.

He was able to keep it going, kept all tires up, no damage. Not ideal, but not over and hes already done better than literally everyone else thats spun today
February 23, 2025 at 11:25 PM
This track is absolute garbage for trucks and Xfinity but it exceeds Daytona and Talladega by a country mile in Cup
February 23, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Honestly thats how he always sounds when hes interviewed after a DNF. He puts so much emotion and determination behind every race and when it ends prematurely it really does take a lot out of him each time
February 23, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Cant believe only 2 cars are out of the race!
