It’s raining. I’ve done all my chores. Got my steps in. Did a little senior strength training. Prepped the green stuff for dinner so I can have one more home-grown green risotto. Picked apples. Time for tea and knitting and gruesome murders. Love these colors 🩵💙💚💜💙🩶

👀 Scoop: Trump and Republicans want USPS to sell off its brand new EVs and chargers.

That would mean literally **ripping up post office parking lots** to auction off assets with no private-sector value.

It’s buried in the Senate’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Reread The Foundation Trilogy this week. Wow. First named female character appears on pg 180 and is a howling stereotype. I loved these books so much as a kid. How?? What a failure of imagination on Asimov's part. #booksky

Thanks to a recommendation from Barbara Kingsolver, I read this this week. Just what I needed this week. A journey, a struggle, women finding their power, a good end. Thanks, Barbara and Rachel.

Not much of a flex but I'm pretty excited to say that I read three whole books in January which is more than most months in 2024. Books read:
1. Death at the Sign of the Rook by Kate Atkinson
2. The Cabin by Patrick Hutchinson
3. The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer
