We need to stop perpetuating the myth that accessibility is always more expensive.

Accessibility often does not cost any more when it is built in from the start.

Accessibility is not optional or “would be nice.”

Accessibility is absolutely necessary.

Wheelchairs and mobility aids are not optional luggage.

They are a person’s legs, stability, safety, and often only way of getting around.

Yet, they are considering not holding airlines accountable for damaging them.

Disability is the only minority group anyone can become a member of at any time. In fact, if you’re lucky enough to grow old, you will experience some degree of disability.

Let’s make sure disability rights matter to everyone — now.

Disabled people belong in the workplace.

Disabled people belong in public schools.

Disabled people belong in restaurants.

Disabled people belong in nature.

Disabled people belong at concerts.

Disabled people belong on the beach.

Disabled people belong. Period.

I think more people really need to realize that houses need to be structurally designed a certain way to even allow for accessibility modifications later.

Accessibility is more than just sticking up a makeshift ramp to the front door when someone can no longer use the stairs.

You cannot tell how a disability fully impacts someone just by looking at them.

What we see on the outside is only a small part.

Disabled people are not entitled for expecting to be able to access a public restroom.

Disabled people are entitled TO the same level of access as their non-disabled peers.
