How can the working class support a man who doesn’t even know only federal departments/agencies are obligated to close for federal holidays? He’s never worked. No business is mandated to close for a federal holiday. He just wants to strip workers of an opportunity of a paid holiday.

No, it won’t. Only Public Funded elections, stripping tax exempt status from all parties a tax credits from donors, and STAR rank choice ballots will give the people power. Political parties and the rich owning the means to winning the seat is what brought us a Trump.

Iran-Contra and hundreds of other instances of breaking international law w/incursions into the countries south of our border. Training and supplying insurgents (that go on to be drug cartels) to topple democratically elected governments for US puppets. USA is responsible for people fleeing homes.

STAR rank choice balloting is an easy to understand process. The voter ranks each candidate with a score 1-5. An unranked candidate gets 0 pts from that ballot. The candidate with the most points wins. Every ballot always counts. No vote is ever “wasted”.

This will make Citizens United, lobbyists and political affiliation moot points, unable to threaten elected officials with a loss of campaign financing to coerce them to pass legislation.

To run on the public funded ballot a candidate submits a petition signed by at least 2% of their constituency and promising to only use allotted funds in their campaign. Failure to comply results in 5 year prison term and $1m fine.

Stripping tax exempt status from the parties, thereby tax credits from donors, returns the contested legislative and leadership seat to The People. Right now the political parties and their donors control the seat and whoever sits in it. Public funded puts the people in charge.

Our current two-party, winner-take-all, system of governance cannot protect us from tyranny. It is not supported by our constitution and is warned about in Federalist an AntiFederalist papers. It cripples our checks and balances of having three independent branches of government.

And our two-party, winner-take-all, system of governance was too weak to protect us from this outcome. Public funded elections, STAR Rank Choice voting WOULD protect our elections AND return our governance to the people.

But Trump also can’t deploy our own military against us … except if he says it meets an exception. His advisors will have Weinstein federally charged, say the federal case takes precedent, then delay the trial for years. Trumpakins can then hold that over Weinstein’s head to keep his backing/money.

Founding documents warn of letting cabals of men with selfish interests run our elections/governance. BOTH parties made a Trump inevitable. Independent branches of government NEED independent people in them for checks and balances to work. Winner-take-all broke the system.
