Yeah think we’d have won without the red card. Shows we’ve learned not to lose our heads when down to 10. Maresca less negative with the tactics than he has been when we lost a player before. We have some real defensive solidity these days. It’s great to see.

He said he didn’t want to go to Saudi or Türkiye but now no domestic options are on he might change his mind. Or he’ll rot in the reserves earning £350k a week

We’ve missed Delap since he’s gone off. Nothing sticking up front and they’re playing through our midfield with ease which is worrying

As a Chelsea fan Nicolas Jackson has such huge potential. He could be amazing. I kinda want to keep him but for him he should probably go.

Difficult to judge Chelsea’s start. I think we’re not giving enough credit to Palace for being brilliant at stopping us. We also won’t play many teams as bad as West Ham were last night. Still though… lots of positives.

We did look fairly dangerous from corners against Palace for the first time in years. I hope that carries on and converts into goals again.

Palace have done a fine job of stopping Chelsea so far. This is the test of Maresca and our new signings to show we can get around this kind of defence.

Yeah. I’m worried my excitement for the season is too high. I do think recruitment has been very focused on beating the low block though. Let’s hope it works.
