She does a fabulous version of " He moved through the fair" with them as well. My old man was a big fan of The Chieftains" & Irish music in general, so now I have all his records. Brings back lots of memories

I listened again tonight on a run & it is still late Joy Division, sans Ian. I read a review somewhere at the time which stated something along the lines that it was an album by a band without a lead singer, which kind of rings true to me on re- listening

It's a stunning design...who'd have thought that would make an album cover? Mind-blowing.. plus white on black background & the lack of text.

Bugger..it's either floods or fires nowadays. We moved from a place that was flood prone to a bushfire zone. Doesn't seem to be any in-between

I listened to it on Friday night. Haven’t heard it in decades. Trying to get it to grow on me as my taste in music changes. I couldn’t make the transition from Joy Division, whose music meant so much to me, to New Order. Ian Curtis’ death was devastating

Here’s some blurb about the album & cover from a book about Joy Division ‘An Ideal For Living’ that I have, if you’re interested.
I think you suit the t-shirt better than Albo btw

Yours is truer to the actual album cover although the original graphic is much smaller

I still have their albums & EPs & some early Warsaw stuff. Their music resonated with me which others , mostly family, couldn’t comprehend. Strangely I have no merch clothing, or New Order..

So true, & influential. Much as I like Love Will Tear Us Apart, it is not even close to their best song but the one most remember. Unknown Pleasures & Closer ( another great album cover) both have much better tracks imo

Love it..great album (which i still have), great cover design & I'm glad he's laid back enough to dump the suit in public
