like 95% of my trips are less than 30km/day and I could "Refuel" at home so even on a short range EV I will leave the house almost every time with about 15 times as much range as I need.

Tesla hasn't even been the top EV company by sales numbers in a couple years, they're 3rd now? BYD has almost 3 times the number of vehicles sold in 2025. And customer satisfaction with BYD seems higher than Tesla too.

You can 100% guarantee there will be thousands denied entry due to "Anti-American sentiment" or something because they posted something about Trump recently. And possibly permanently.

I would expect they'd basically just go back to how they were before. Maybe a little additional knowledge, but more on par with watching someone do something a few times than actual being fully skilled.

Well, yeah. That's what regulation, subsidies, tariffs etc are for rather than just letting the economy guide everything. At BEST society's behaviour and capitalism lags well behind what is best for society.

Small territory and population means smaller resources and manpower to make the changes. US has 70 times the GDP and 60 times the population. If they had the will they could have managed.

*The* solution is to build more homes? Make the price of building lower and you'll get more new home builds. Here in NZ a lot of developers are stopping building because the sale prices are on average $200K less than the build price.
