I 100% believe @ianflynnbkc.bsky.social's choice to have Darkseid use the blue chaos emerald to... we'll say "alter space and time with a flash of white" to avoid spoilers, was calling back to when the Archie versions of Eggman and Wily did the same and I won't be convinced otherwise.

When I was like, 14, they rebooted the Sonic comic, and I sorta lost interest.
Over 11 years later I picked up where I left off. It's a strange feeling, returning to the first comic series I made an effort to keep up with. But 14 year old me was wrong, they cooked here.
