McConnell was able to filibuster accomplish CR because the Democrats care about the government. Trump doesn't care. He'll keep the shutdown going independently.

What would the filibuster accomplish? It would add misery upon misery and would not affect DOGE. This shutdown would have long, and would have accomplished little.

If shutting the government down shut DOGE down, then I would be all in on this. But with DOGE busy at work, a shut down accomplishes little. The Republicans will be delighted to see the government shut down. A shut down under the present circumstances will be long and just add to the pain.
