I started reading "Nexus" by Harari and after one chapter had to switch to a sci-fi book.

How come reading about the bigger picture of AI nowadays is more stressful than reading an actual science fiction book?

One of my favourite things I stumble upon on the Internet is other researchers' non-academic essays on their personal websites. Seeing how someone tackles the meaning-of-life areas through a scientifically trained lens is always so interesting to read.
