The White House modification is being paid for by private donations. No tax dollars used. Democrat Senators have refused to pass a clean CR trying to protect the massive payouts to health insurance companies. Democrats passed legislation to end the ACA tax subsidies at the end of this year.

Democrat Senators need to pass the clean CR and get everyone working. In reality the federal employees should receive double pay for working if furloughed employees receive base pay for the Democrat stupidity in keeping the government closed.

You do know in the US Senate that 60 yea votes are needed to get a bill passed. There are only 53 Republican Senators but the midterm elections can correct this hazard by voting 7 more Republican Senators. Dems are not doing well in my opinion
