You are here on this planet to live life to its fullest. Life is for living. Seek out different experiences, as long as you aren’t doing harm to others.

If you view things as a succession of moments, it helps you stay present. How you view each of those moments, what you bring to them and take from them, helps you expand your experience, helps you grow, helps you move forward, helps you feel successful.

You are as equally deserving of love, honor, and respect as any other human being. You are no better, no worse. We all have our strengths & our flaws. We all have our own perspective on the world, shaped by our experience & how we have learned things.

Ask yourself what your reaction is when you are encouraged to do something that doesn’t serve the common welfare. Do you shrug and go along with it? Or do you say that you cannot be a part of it? Where do you see your responsibility ending?

Work and love both take you out of yourself and put you out into the world. We do not truly live unless we are out in the world. Out in the world is where we exercise and grow spiritually.

Where do you place your focus in your daily life? Do you consider all of the gifts in your life that you have been given freely? Do you remember those who have gone before you? Do you give thought to how your actions will affect those around you?

Sometimes, when those around us are grieving, we want to be there for them, but we don’t know what to say. That can easily translate into withdrawing, and then the intention of being there for someone is lost.

The key is to use your strength for the betterment of others, to inspire people to be strong themselves. This is the thing that will both affirm your strength and make you stronger. If your goal is to be strong for yourself, it is unlikely that you will feel strong for very long.

When you are feeling poorly about yourself, reach out, not with the intent to make yourself feel better, but with the intent to see how you can be of service to another.

If you are finding you lack the urge to put effort into your close, personal relationships, you may need to reevaluate who you have brought into your life. If you are finding that your work is uninspired and dull, take a look at what your work could be and fall in love with it.

The next time your inner voice guides you to a decision or a direction, listen to it. Heed it. Honor it. Yes, sometimes you might feel foolish, but you are honoring yourself, and in the long run, you will be stronger for it.

The next time you find yourself taking the actions of another personally, examine your assumptions. What have you assumed about their motives? How would an outsider view what just happened? If your roles were reversed, what would have happened?

Make an agreement with the Universe that you will take care of the footwork and let the Universe handle the results. After all, the results are frequently out of your hands anyway. This agreement will put your focus back where it belongs, on whatever the task is that is right in front of you

Unless the truth is asked for, plainly and directly, it is frequently best to keep it to yourself. If you wait until a truth is asked for, it is much more likely to be heard and acted upon.

Energy follows focus. That which you suppress or repress, you feed. As long as something is taboo, it will be easy to obsess over it, because it is somehow more exciting than the things that are allowed. It becomes addictive.

Pick up that piece of trash. Avoid gossip. Do something nice for someone else with no reason. Give an elderly or infirm person your seat. Volunteer your time. Plant flowers. Tell people that you love them and mean it.

Is it the underlying feeling that you desire, or is it the goals themselves?
What are the myriad of ways you can get there?
Can you break those down?
What is the most obvious first step from where you are right now? What do you need to do in order to make that step possible?
