He grins at her and there's something quieter in his eyes, of nights spent, the two of them among opened bottles and things said, half-said, unsaid, but all understood or at least accepted.
"Thanks," she says, a little choked. He nods and goes.
Nami takes a bite of cake: it tastes of home.

He shrugs. "Guess so. Just asked Curly for a tangerine cake and he squealed like a pig and made this. You want it or nah?"
"Uh yes," she accepts the plate, a little stunned. "Why though?"
Zoro looks away, but his lips curl up. "You're a good crewmate. And you know how to drink."+

"Hm, looks like one of Sanji's," she says.
Zoro huffs and shakes the plate enough that the cake wobbles. "He made it, fine? Not from him though, but if you don't want it, I'll just eat it myself."
"Wait!" Nami stands as Zoro starts to turn away, and he stops. Things click. "That's from you?"

Nami raises an eyebrow.
"What is it?"
Zoro grunts and gestures with the cake. "Gift for you."
Nami's other eyebrow climbs up as well.
"Usually Sanji brings us treats himself..."
"'S not from the damned cook."
Nami studies Zoro, then the cake. In the exact same shape of others Sanji makes.+

Nami is tapping a pencil on her newest map when a small plate is thrusted in front of her face. She leans back to blink at it and put it into focus: a little cake, orange, white, soft and smelling sweet.
She follows the line of the tanned arm holding the plate up to look up at Zoro, who's frowning.+
