Of course Trump is the main story now but we can do two things at once. Investigate Trump’s current misdeeds and Biden’s past poor decision. We need to understand history so we don’t repeat mistakes

Not sure I see a different playbook operating here. Sounds like Carney talked nice to him in person/phonecall and Trump was sufficiently buttered up to say nice things about him the day after. As we saw after T’s WH meeting with Obama, the nice feelings/words barely lasted 24 hours.
