Finals next week so I'm finally putting a sleeve on my trouty sweater as a treat during study breaks. Gonna go back and split the hem too cos I hate the rumples in the fabric, this yarn binds off too tight! (May be a skills issue idk)

For some reason I can't post this as a landscape!! But it's done! Pinning lace out is such a process!!! It will be a little bittersweet giving this away, I had so much fun making it and feel very fond of it now. But it's for my sibling so it'll be a little more sweet I think. #knitsky

Happy to announce that putting stubbornness aside and using an exorbitant amount of stitch markers has made it so I can actually make progress on this shawl :)

Have been utterly consumed by lust for huckleberry muffins and finally made some. (It is huckleberry season which is one of my favorite and most romantically nostalgic times of year)

My consolation project since I have to frog that linen shirt I was nearly done with. I needed a flamboyant winter hat and knew what this yarn was destined to be as soon as I saw it! Not blocked yet cos I'm camping out at my special garden retreat ✨️ #knitsky #showmeyourknits

Currently a lumpy unblocked mess but I'm really happy with my progress on this linen tee so far. Am maintaining tension waaaay better than I expected for having never worked with 100% linen before and really enjoy working something that's not a straight up raglan.

Wow this yarn is stiff enough my cake is literally a donut! Definitely softened up a bit with a couple winds, and the yarn on the cone was definitely twisted as fuck, so hopefully the bias issue goes away

I was worried she wouldn't like it but she's worn it all day and hasn't been obsessively grooming which is an unexpected but very pleasant perk!!

I finished it i finished it (okay i haven't done the basted seams yet but I'm so happy). The hem turned out better than I coulda dreamed, just need to clean up the split!! #knitsky #knitting #queerknitter

Essence of green! Spring in a jar! This is pureed stinging nettle largely gathered from volunteers in the garden beds. Going to use most if it for a cake and the rest for pasta.

Pretty much all my first knits were gifts for my wife, and I tend to find a lot of motivation in knitting gifts in general! That hat has since had fur added to the brim, and been used so much it's practically alive. Mitts could be tweaked, but the sweater has also become a staple 💛 #showmeyourknits

A fun and subtle way to make knitting 23 rows of short circumference ribbing take foreverrrrr but i love it. I'm also doing this on the hem which is gonna be a real long term romp.

Sweater update, possible success on the neck! There are some slight ripples around where I picked up along the curves, but I haven't blocked this yet so hopefully it's a minor enough issue that blocking solves it!
