They’re a band that is sort of a guilty pleasure for me. They get lumped in with nu metal but really seem more like just a rock or alt band to me. They have some really good songs though and Things We Can’t Stop was a solid solid comeback album.

I just can’t shake comparing them to Kanonenfieber and I just enjoyed that more. It’s fine, very competent, but not overly dynamic.

This is a huge problem with some bands (hadn’t listened to the one you specifically referenced). I literally think there are times vocalists just feel the need to be doing something but it’d be way better to give it space.

CGI got and stayed really really bad after those first LoTR, Jurassic Parks, etc. IMO CGI looks worse today than it did in T2 and that movie is like 33 years old.
