It is also a confused reading of the Cass Review. Cass does not deny the existence of neurodivergence, she claims that neurodivergent folk experience difficulties in knowing their own identity. (A theme unfortunately echoed by some autistic advocates.)

The last paragraph of the Sami Timimi interview in the tes magazine clearly confirms the reactionary politics of the anti-neurodiversity branch of anti-psychiatry. The interview was also praised by the hardcore neoliberal educationalist Tom Bennett.
I think we could do with something similar to the Cass review (which looked at the outcomes from children attending gender identity services, and suspended services as a result). We could do with a similar national review of the whole neurodiversity and mental health awareness discourse for kids.

Given the well documented under diagnosis and misdiagnosis of neurodivergent women these are probably an underestimation.

Wrt identity (see some of the masking literature). Read the quote below from the Cass Review and recognise how this enfeebling narrative is being weaponised against neurodivergent/trans folk.
There are no references in the Cass Review for this claim.

A recent NHS established Taskforce report demonstrates the consequences of denying any scientific validity to neurodiversity and neurodivergence. The human cost (and financial £17 Billion) is appalling.

In education, Behaviourist Czars and their acolytes have denied the existence of a school to prison pipeline as part of their ongoing mission to eradicate any degree of critical pedagogy from education policy.
A new report by the ADHD taskforce established by NHS England demolishes this denial.
DHSC/NHS England, DfE and MoJ must work together to prioritise early years support that is based on needs not diagnosis to break the school to prison, school to adult unemployment and school to ill-health pipelines. Urgently address escalating NHS ADHD waiting times: DHSC and HMT must act quickly to address the growing backlogs across both children’s and adult services to avoid wasted expenditure on the adverse outcomes of untreated ADHD (e.g. repeated A&E use, chronic mental and physical health problems, prison, unemployment) and identify those at highest risk.

These cases turn compassionate arguments about alleviating suffering into difficult discussions on discrimination, as inadequate social care, health care, and housing motivate people to choose a premature death.
