Found a pretty glaring bug in #iOS26 where medium gray backgrounds tend to cause Liquid Glass text fields to freak out and still show white text but start switching to a lighter background when attempting to move the cursor. This had the added benefit of making it possible to see your text.
The iOS 26 messages app with a background of a sunset and a happy emoji as the previous message. The word “test” is written in the text field, but it is completely illegible due to white text getting a white background.

I didn’t take photos along the entire journey, but this gives you a rough idea of what the process was like.
The reason that the line work is weirdly shiny in the last photo is because of a masking material called “Frisket” that I used to protect the line art

Trying to dedicate my time to make this into a full comic was holding me up from actually doing it, so screw it, if this ends up being a 1-off thing, then so be it, but I need to create and I need to express myself.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner, but my oven always seems ti burn stuff, and I finally thought to stick a thermometer in there and found the discrepancy. Turns out that it runs about 20-30 degrees hotter than the thermostat claims it is!
