hell yeah. i still suck at shmups but this game is quite friendly to those like me while still being really fun and exciting. really fun to play for survival and (badly) try for high scores by point blanking everything and building up berserk (before inevitably dying to hubris 😔)

dark arms: beast buster 1999
wanted to play a neo geo pocket game since i never have and this was seasonally appropriate. not a lot to it but its fun and has good halloweeny vibes. definitely worth the short playthrough

they ran out of stuff from the show to base content from ages ago so then they went to the comics, and now they've pretty much run out of stuff from THOSE, so now they're just completely making shit up for new content. look at this man

also the japanese version, surfroid, came with this little surfboard attachment you were supposed to put on the top of the sticks to control the game with. this may be the best game ever

finally got the class s license! i know it isn't much of an achievement since there's higher for much higher scores, but it took me days and i got really close so many times that i'm proud of doing it lol

a tenuous list of games i'd include. only games that originated on 3ds; some games are kinda stand-ins for the whole series (ie if i like eo4 i'd play the rest of them) i also didn't include games in series that have earlier entries on other console i'd wanna play first (like with kh3d)
