I opened my island for about 5 minutes yesterday and the difference in performance from Switch 1 to Switch 2 is really noticeable. Load times are faster, character movement is more fluid, the saves seem a bit quicker and the game is a lot brighter on the Switch 2. Would recommend.

To be confident that you are definitely transferring everything in one go. Turn on Island Backups on your Nintendo Switch BEFORE you move anything across! This adds extra protection in case something goes wrong.

Keep both consoles plugged in during the transfer!!

Both consoles need to be plugged in, charging and on throughout the process and they need to be next to each other. Docked is completely fine from what I can tell.
