Oh man, I drove past this place hundreds of times in the 80s-90s before they demolished it all. There used to be *so* many buildings. The national WW2 museum is in New Orleans. Husband's grandma worked at the now extinct Air Force base in the UP which is also interesting to learn about.

Hard to believe that the people who used to give me rides home when it was cold or rainy are gone. Hard to believe that the neighbors who used to help my grandma out are all gone now.

In other words, she totally suspects about the Elf and Santa stuff. But she still thinks it’s fun and wants the magic to go on for just a bit longer. I was just like her.
