Geography, tea and the sea.

My lovely niece has just been round to help me extract the extra chairs from the garage. We searched the garage for quite some time before I realised I'd sold them last year. 🤦

Vanity Fair for this year's Pulitzer Prize, said no one until now.

It's this, if the UK Govt isn't looking at Farage's 'European era' it's because someone else is.
Very speedy investigation, so my thought is the EU External Action Service under the excellent Kaja Kallas has found new evidence and the UK Govt has had a part to play. Farage must be very nervous indeed.

Anecdotally, people I know have definitely changed their behaviour to avoid getting this flu just before Christmas. Some messages get through eventually.

I did not have 'Vanity Fair heads a controversial media investigation into Trump's White House' on my 2025 Bingo Card.

Jess Phillips is the perfect antidote to the cynical 'they're all the same' crew, who try to burn away hope and engagement in our communities and politics. Jess knows her brief and obviously cares deeply about this issue. Thank you for your service Jess.

It's a Crypto version of The Beach.

Not 'no interference', rather, no 'findings of interference'. That's saying something different. The UK isn't acting in isolation on this, the EU European External Action Service has Russian interference firmly in its sights. I'd not be surprised to see more revelations from UKIP's EU Parl era...

He's got to manufacture this 'war' as an excuse to move away from Ukraine. That's the play.

It's a former East Germany industrial city where the far right Afd leads the council I think. So no surprise they are looking to a solution that maintains the gas infra - just in case Russia can turn on the taps once again!

Not just trade, it's also Trump trying to pressure an isolated UK into supporting his version of the Ukraine deal rather than the EU version.
December 16, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Understood, but if we lose there will be even less hope for a better place and future. Where would you escape to, assuming you could or anyone would let you in? Ukrainians know this.

This is going to cause tensions within NATO. I don't know why CNN didn't pick this up but Curacao is an autonomous territory of The Netherlands. The Dutch have air and naval bases there + oil industry interests. There's also a US presence on the island but it is at the goodwill of the Dutch.

Omg, Trump is trying to out-France the French. First the stick-on Versailles makeover of the White House, and now an Arc de MAGA.

You can not buy class.

Europeans will do what they are best at, bringing umpteen 'devils in the detail' to the table, totally bamboozling a US team wholly ignorant of geography and culture. Some regard 'technocrat' as an insult and certainly not as glamorous as the 'STFU Trump' warriors, but I celebrate the technocrats.

Real party members or another elaborate cash washing exercise for those donations from Moscow?

Not forgetting of course that the reason that potash is often specifically sanctioned is that it can be reformulated to make low grade explosives. But yeah no doubt the Dept of War knows that.

I'm an atheist and no monarchist, but I'm afraid for these institutions. One props up the other and keeps the whole in moderation. There's no doubt the next gen Royals are way too woke for Heritage Hillbillies, ditto the CofE. Watch out for more insidious press articles tearing them down.

Strong agree. It's just wild though that the National Speed Limit applies to many SINGLE track lanes throughout our green and pleasant land. I joyfully exclaim 'wow I can go 60 now!' to my nervous passengers. I do not of course do 60.

Saw a group on the beach with a bottle of champagne. We got chatting, so I asked what the occasion was, 'just celebrating a beautiful day'. ❤️

A clear 1992 example, Mr Wendel tackled perceptions of homeless people with joy and positivity. But I'm a fan of that love and peace hip hop era.

Just as well the Danes only get 6 months at the Council presidency, otherwise we'd have World Peace, solved fusion, and have colonised Mars in 18 months.
